
I vitigni The vines have been planted on characteristic man-made terraces which have been built over the centuries with soil supported by dry stone walls. Â
Reaching a maximum height of one metre and sometimes even only 50-60cm from the ground, the pergolas are protected from the inclement spring winds. Â
The earth that is highly permeable to the sea air, heat and water; the mild climate protected from the cold from the north; the fortunate position facing the sun; the very stones of the dry stone walls which reflect the heat from the sun’s rays , all accelerate the ripening process of the grapes. Â
All these things, together with the work of Man, are the particular ingredients that make the wines from the Cinque Terre legendary.
